Momentum stock scanners for NSE

Momentum scanning rests on the most stubborn finding in market research: over three to twelve months, what has gone up keeps going up more often than chance allows. The scans here express that at different tempos. The leaders lists rank raw relative strength over a quarter and over a year. The stacked-averages and rising-200-day scans define the uptrend structurally instead. The pullback and strong-but-quiet scans exist because a pure strength ranking hands you stocks at their most extended, which is the practical problem with the whole idea. The OHL pair works at the scale of a single session, asking who controlled the day from its first print. Momentum's known cost is the crash at the end of the trend, and I would rather you saw that in the replay on each scan page than took my word for it.

Common questions

What is a momentum stock scan?

A scan for stocks already moving: by return over some window, by trend structure such as price above rising moving averages, or by a directional strength measure like ADX. It bets on continuation.

What is the OHL strategy?

Open-High-Low. If a stock's open equals its low, buyers held it from the first print; if the open equals its high, sellers did. Intraday traders act on it minutes after the open. On daily bars it reads as a stamp on the whole session.

How is momentum different from a breakout?

A breakout is an event, one day's price clearing one level. Momentum is a condition that has persisted for weeks. The breakout scan catches the day a move starts; the momentum scan catches the ones already running and still orderly.
